5-Day Uzbekistan Experience & Interaction Tour

Hello, I’m the intern student, Ibuki Okamuro.
Since September 2023, I have been interning at SRP TRAVEL and Ikat Boutiques Cafe in Samarkand. After spending several months here in Uzbekistan and getting used to the lifestyle, I had the opportunity to create a tour plan.
I’ve designed this tour with a focus on not only visiting historical sites but also interacting with college students and experiencing life in Samarkand.
This tour is recommended for those planning their graduation trips, student vacations, or for anyone who wants to prioritize experiences over an extended stay.

– Experience the traditions and customs of Uzbekistan to the fullest.
 Experiences on this tour :
・Suzani Embroidery Experience: Learn and practice Suzani embroidery.
・Traditional Cooking Class: Make dough from wheat flour and experience baking in a tandyr oven.
・Mountain Climb on a Donkey: Ride a donkey and climb a mountain.
・Visit to Non Bakery: Observe the work of a non (bread) maker, essential for daily meals.
・Interaction with College Student Guides: Connect with students learning English, fostering mutual understanding.
・Shopping at the Bazaar: Experience local shopping, learn about pricing differences, and more.

– Guided tour of Samarkand, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, by college student guides (accompanied by Ibuki).
 Key attractions to visit in Samarkand on this tour :
 Registan Square, Gur-e Amir Mausoleum, Bibi-Khanym Mosque, Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis

– Sightseeing in the modernizing capital, Tashkent.

Schedule

Day 1・Arrival in Tashkent International Airport – Transfer to Hotel
 * A driver will be waiting for you at the airport.   
  (The driver may speak the local language.)

Day 2・Transfer to Toshkent station
・Go to Samarkand by an express train (about 2 hours)

・Arrival in Samarkand – Go to hotel by tram
 *Ibuki will be waiting for you at the station.

・After lunch, Guided Sightseeing with a College Student Guide
 ( Go’ri Amir, Registan Square, Bibi Khanum Mosque )

Day 3・Morning : Visit to the Non Factory and Suzani Embroidery Experience

・After lunch : Walking tour to explore the Shah-i-Zinda complex
Cooking class and hands-on shopping at the Siyob Bazaar

Day 4・Transfer to Hazrati Dovut, a mountain often visited by locals on holidays
・Enjoy horseback riding to the pilgrimage site at the mountain’s summit

・Return to Samarkand around noon – Free time

Day 5・Transfer to Samarkand Station in the morning
・Go to Tashkent by train (about 4 hours)

・Arrive around 13:00 – Tashkent sightseeing by car
 *For the City Guide Plan, you will meet the guide from your hotel.
 ( Palov Center, Subway Ride, Amir Temur Square, Navoy Opera House, Museum of Applied Art )

・Go to International Airport
